Tryouts

Your $75 tryout fee covers participation in up to two tryout sessions and includes evaluation, court rental, and insurance. Attending both sessions is strongly recommended to allow our staff to complete a thorough evaluation to accurately place players on teams. Additional sessions are not necessary, as our coaching staff takes detailed notes and reviews tryout footage to make informed team placement decisions.

No. As a member club of the GEVA region of USA Volleyball (USAV), we are required to follow all governing rules and regulations regarding the tryout process. Under current GEVA guidelines, clubs are not permitted to conduct tryouts before August 9. To ensure fairness for all athletes and maintain compliance with USAV and GEVA policies, Warren Sixpack Volleyball will not hold tryouts prior to the approved start date.

We understand that you may not be able during the tryout times provided, however, we do have a few options for you. Please note regardless of the option you select below, you will still need to complete the registration and pay the base tryout fee, and under the tryout date selection, please select “i emailed info@sixpackvolleyball.com”.

1st Option: Based on familiarity with the player, we will offer a predetermined offer after the 1st round of offers go out for your age group. We anticipate a highly competitive tryout this year so this may be a lower offer than you’d expect. However, we need to keep spots open on teams for players that attend tryouts

2nd Option: If you’d like to increase your chances at a higher offer, please submit a film before tryouts.

3rd Option: If you do not have any film and would like a fresh evaluation, you may set up a private lesson with Michael Schon or Tyler Kwinta AFTER August 9th. This would include your $75 registration fee, $70 court rental cost, and $50 for the evaluating coach (a total of $190). For the 2026–2027 club season, Warren Sixpack teams will practice at a variety of premier facilities throughout Central New Jersey, including Great American Center in Aberdeen, Superdome Sports in Brick, Capelli Sport Complex in Tinton Falls, and St. Joseph High School in Metuchen. Practice schedules and facility assignments will vary by team and will be communicated after team selections are finalized.

Team offers will be extended throughout the tryout period on a rolling basis. Roster selections for Sixpack National, Premier, and Regional teams will be communicated to athletes and their families as soon as decisions are made by the coaching staff through an official email offer and invitation via Byga.

Not all team offers will be sent at the same time. Sixpack National team rosters will often fill before Sixpack Premier teams, which will fill before Sixpack Regional teams. It is typical for National team offers to be sent before Premier and Regional offers.

Warren Sixpack is affiliated with the Garden Empire Region of USA Volleyball. The Garden Empire Volleyball Association maintains tryout guidelines by which all members and clubs are governed. Athletes and families will have three days to review and respond to an offer and commit to a team per GEVA regulations.

To secure your spot, you must submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit

If a player does not commit after three days, their position on the team may be offered to another player

If an athlete receives offers from multiple clubs, they should only accept the assignment from the club they intend to join.

Once the commitment agreement, club assignment acceptance, and deposit have been completed, the athlete is officially committed to Warren Sixpack Volleyball for the season
